Los Angeles Philharmonic - War of the Worlds

Los Angeles Philharmonic - War of the Worlds at Walt Disney Concert Hall

Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic - War of the Worlds?

On the 30th of October 1938, Orson Welles and Howard Koch launched an ambitious radio broadcast, an adaptation of H.G Wells' terrifying vision of a Martian invasion that went on to inspire (if the rumors are to believed) mass panic throughout the land. Now, the L.A Phil and director Yuval Sharon attempt to recreate this historic event in a brand new performance piece that'll use recommissioned WWII sirens to broadcast the action live from the Walt Disney Concert Hall to the surrounding area.
