After thrilling audiences, and racking up twelve Tony nominations, on Broadway last year The SpongeBob Musical is gearing up for its first national tour! Let's find out who's heading to Bikini Bottom Bay...

Starring in the titular role will be Lorenzo Pugliese with Beau Bradshaw as Patrick Star and Daria Pilar Redus as Sandy Cheeks. Rounding out the principal cast will be, Christopher Cody Cooley as Squidward Q Tentacles, Zach Kononov as Eugene Krabs and Tristan McIntyre as Sheldon Plankton.

The ensemble, plus additional characters, will feature Joshua Bess, Morgan Blanchard, John Cardenas, Natalie L. Chapman, Richie Dupkin, Teddy Gales, Stephen C. Kallas, Meami Maszewski, Stefan Miller, Mary Nickson, Dorian O'Brien, Caitlin Ort, Elle-May Patterson, Helen Regula, Sydney Simone, Ayana Strutz, Miles Davis Tillman and Rico Velaquez. 

Directed and co-Conceived by Tina Landau The SpongeBob musical features a book by Kyle Jarrow and
choreography by Christopher Gattelli. The SpongeBob musical uniquely features musical contributions from the likes of David Bowie, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Lady Antebellum, John Legend, The Flaming Lips, Dirty Projectors, They Might Be Giants, Panic! at the Disco and T.I. (wow!)

The SpongeBob Musical's first national tour will begin in Schenectady in September before heading to Boston, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Denver plus many more cities!

What is The SpongeBob Musical about?

The story follows Spongebob on a quest to save Bikini Bottom from complete and utter destruction from mysterious forces from the world above. When chaos erupts, their lives hang in the very balance - all until an unlikely hero rises to the challenge to save the day - with a little help of his friends.
