A beautiful and epic night of music. The acoustics at Disney Hall were out of this world!

I did not care for it much, the 2 opening pieces were too deconstructed and dissonant for me, I don't think they fit the program. I did not feel much connection with anything. granted I have been very sick for a week after 5 weeks of intense travel overseas but if something was amazing it would have stood out for me. fonda 2013 was a mind blowing show, its probably in the top 10 shows I have ever seen and I have been to a lot of concerts. ditto for echo, great show. technically it was great and the sound was amazing where I was and I can see how most people would really like it but for me I could have missed the show and been ok with it. not to compare but just to set a reference point, above & beyond both at the greek and the bowl I loved, esp the bowl, its was very special. the show last night while beautifully done just failed to draw me into it. moby is special, without question. I am sure I am in the minority in my feelings about last nights performance.
