Why See Los Angeles Philharmonic - Wagner's Ring?

one ring to rule them all

A monumental work of staggering scope and length, Wagner's epic Ring cycle is one of the most breathtaking pieces in the classical music repertoire. Don't miss this epic recital of the highlights, curated and conducted by Music Director of the Paris Opera, Philippe Jordan and featuring soprano and esteemed Wagnerian Irene Theorin.

The Ring cycle is the sprawling adventures of a group of Gods and mortals in competition to possess the ring of power, one that will give the bearer dominion over the whole world. Told in four parts, Das Rheingold (The Rhinefole, Die Walkure (The Valkyrie), Siegfried, and Gotterdammerung (Twlight of the Gods), it is one of the most influential cycles in the world, continuing to inspire and thrill audiences the world over.
