I had no idea what to expect. I'd never heard any of the music. All I knew was that once Donny Osmond played Joseph. I'd never been to the Pantages Theater, either. So, my first impression was one of awe at the beauty of the venue, the wonder of what is probably a lost art when it comes to the woodcarving of the lovely ceiling. On to the show! I was delighted by everything I saw & heard. This show had me laughing frequently. I found it to be very witty. I found myself wishing I could have a coat like Joseph's. My seat was in the very last row, left of stage center, yet my view was great! Sound was superb as well. I have to say, this was the fastest that 2 hours have ever passed for me.

I was so excited to see Diana Degarmo and Ace Young in this musical. Lo and Behold, there were "unknowns" playing their parts. Don't advertise them if they aren't going to be there! Their stand-ins were good, but I still wanted to see the American Idol performers, I paid a lot of money for good tickets - I should be reimbursed half of what I paid.

Diana and Ace do not have the voice quality or range to successfully perform Joseph. At times it was difficult to reftrain from laughing when this hulking Ace squeaked out a song intended to be belted and Diana sounded as if she'd taken a hit of helium. Disappointing! The many local performances of Joseph far exceeded the Broadway production. The best part of the performance was the table scene with the brothers. No, no, no, no to Joe!
