THE SHOW THAT COULD HAVE BEEN......

I'm being generous with 3 stars. Stevie Wonder deserves a trillion stars. This was a night I so looked forward to. Talking Book & Innervisions in one night...a dream come true! Stevie came armed with the best of everything including band & guests..Tony Bennett, Dave Matthews, Pharrell Williams to name a few. There was only 1 minor problem...the sound/mix was beyond horrific. The show started off with Tony Bennett's mike not working (no big deal)...they got him another mike. It see/sawed from there...We saw the annual show with "Songs in the key of life" at the Nokia. Probably the best show I've ever seen...sound/acoustics just beautiful . I hope Stevie takes the venue back to the Nokia. The experience at the Staple Center fell woefully short. It's an honor to see/hear Stevie at any opportunity & I love supporting his cause. Unfortunately, the sound system/mix made for a lousy experience.

STEVIE TRIES

Stevie Wonder has a BIG heart, is a great presenter and is a wonderful performer. He had excellent guest. The problems. He teased the audience and had them wait. The sound system failed too many times. No excuse. Four hours is way too long for a concert. Concert goers should not feel frustrated and tired. Then leave just when the main attraction begins to sing. I don't need to see a Stevie Wonder Concert again, even if I had been given an excellent seat for free. Thank you Stevie
