Why See Black Arm Band?
The Australian cultural phenomenon
Australian Aboriginal collective Black Arm Band heads to the States in 2017 for a tour of their stirring music that tells the story of their heritage and spiritual journey. Drawn from different musical traditions, cities and tribes from all over the vast country, their concert Dirtsong encompasses the various musical styles and languages of its native people. Coupled with soaring and evocative film footage by Melbourne's Daybreak Films, this lyrical, musical and visual journey provides an escape to the other side of the Pacific to a world rarely seen or experienced by foreigners.
Evoking the juxtaposition of nature and human life, the use of 11 languages and traditional music amidst different landscapes connects the artists to their country, keeping their arts and tribal culture alive, wherever they hail from.Black Arm Band tour from February and hits the Royce Hall in Los Angeles, CA, Closed February 15, 2017
