Why See Mel Brooks?
Back in the Saddle!
Few people have shaped the American comedy landscape more than Mel Books. Beginning his career as a stand-up comic, he went onto direct some of the biggest hits of the 1960s & 70s, including Young Frankenstein, Silent Movie and The Producers, which he subsequently turned into a 12-time Tony winning Broadway musical.
In 2016 he sets out on the Back in the Saddle tour. Each night begins with a screening of his hilarious and outrageous 1974 Western parody Blazing Saddles, now considered one of the funniest movies of all time, followed by a lengthy Q&A with the great man himself. If there's one question you've always wanted to ask about the classic baked beans scene, now's the time!
