Why See Spamilton?
The hottest spoof musical heads out on tour!
With a wildly successful ongoing engagement in Chicago, the hottest spoof musical of the year is heading out on a national tour this fall, as well as opening Off-Broadway to capitalize on the country's love for all things Hamilton! Kicking off in Los Angeles this November, this newest brainchild from Forbidden Broadway creator Gerard Alessandrini is expected to make waves wherever they visit. And Alessandrini has promised to keep it fresh and up-to-date, with topical references to its namesake on Broadway!
Having already impressed theater critics and amassing a loyal following that could potentially overshadow that of its inspiration, Lin-Manuel Miranda himself has attended the show in New York - twice! How's that for an endorsement? A fan of Hamilton, Alessandrini was so impressed with the revolutionary (pun intended) score and lyrics that he found himself writing parody numbers for fun - and then couldn't stop! Before long he had reworked the original show into a full-on parody, which has taken Off-Broadway and Chicago by storm. Spamilton will be stomping into the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City , CA , November 5 - December 31, 2017
