Los Angeles Philharmonic - Raiders of the Lost Ark at Hollywood Bowl

Why see Los Angeles Philharmonic - Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Join Indy in this swashbuckling live concert experience!

Grab your hats and leather jackets for an exciting night out at the Hollywood Bowl this August, as the leading lights of the LA Phil perform John Williams' rousing soundtrack to Indiana Jones' first outing - while a high-definition screen plays the movie above the stage! With the score digitally extracted from the movie, experience the swashbuckling adventure in the North African desert, as Indy battles Nazis and attempts to recover the legendary Ark of the Covenant, along with his feisty sidekick, Marion Crane. Conducted by David Newman, and screened in HD, experience the iconic movie with the music performed live in front of you!

Now in his 85th year, John Williams is undoubtedly the world's greatest film music composer, with his scores for the likes of Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and Superman becoming just as embedded in popular culture as the movies themselves. He is a long standing friend of the LA Philharmonic, with his scores having been performed by them countless times and even sometimes taking up the conductor's baton himself!
