Beethoven's legendary Ninth Symphony makes a welcome return to the Bowl, performed by The LA Phil. It has special significance for maestro Gustavo Dudamel; it the first piece he performed as Music Director of the Orchestra! Arguably the world's most passionate conductor today, he will lead the Phil and a host of special guests for this double program that also includes Copland's
Fanfare for the Common Man. In his eighth year as musical director, Dudamel's reputation continues to exceed expectations as he channels incredible talent and enthusiasm into world famous pieces.
The evening welcomes soprano Amanda Majeski, mezzo-soprano J'Nai Bridges, tenor Issachah Savage and bass Ryan Speedo Green. This concert forms part of the Classical Thursdays series at the Hollywood Bowl.
