Why See Phantogram?
Phantogram return in 2016 with their third studio album (helpfully titled) Three, and they've got an extensive North American tour to go along with it. Formed of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, Phantogram's darkly-hued synth pop that recalls the best of Portishead and Massive Attack. Their most recent project was a collaborative album with Outkast's Big Boi, but now they're back by themselves.
The new record Three is headed into darker territory for the duo, inspired by a year of tough experiences and heartbreak. The pulsing, funky sound was showcased on lead single 'You Don't Get Me High Anymore'. Catch them playing new material alongside choice cuts from their back catalogue when they hit Glass House in Pomona, CA, Closed April 23, 2017
