Why see David Blaine?

David Blaine: impossible

World-renowned magician David Blaine is heading back to his Las Vegas home, the Encore Theater, with his show 'IMPOSSIBLE'! When it comes to modern magic, one man towers above the rest. Blowing the world's collective mind when he emerged in the late '90s with his fresh approach to magic, David Blaine took illusions off the stage, stripped them of their pomp and circumstance, and performed them for ordinary people on the streets.

His early TV specials, "Street Magic" and "Magic Man," announced a new age for the art form and paved the way for all those who followed, from Criss Angel to Derren Brown.

Since then, he's tested the limits of the possible, following in the footsteps of his idol Harry Houdini to perform one death-defying stunt after another, such as being buried alive for seven days or being encased in a block of ice.

Mouth dropping, absolutely amazing!!!

David, I absolutely loved your show and felt your mom was looking down on you the whole time. You mentioned during your show that she was a positive influence in your life and this touched me. Your dedication, passion and endurance shined through tonite and although your acts terrified me, I very much enjoyed watching you perform them. You are an incredible human being and keep doing what you are doing and don’t read into the negativity of others. As a nurse I know the dangers of your stunts/acts so please be safe. I would love to see you come to Albany again. All the best to you!! ... Read more
